Your Path to Success: From Therapist to BCBA

At ABC, we understand that the journey to becoming a BCBA can seem daunting, but with our Everest Program, you are never alone. We provide comprehensive support every step of the way, from your initial role as a therapist to the moment you become a fully certified BCBA. 

Let’s break down the steps:

Step 1: Therapist

Eligibility:

  • Actively employed as a Behavioral Therapist (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at ABC.
  • If a BT, must obtain RBT certification within 90 days of hire.

Benefits:

  • 100% paid 40-hour RBT training course, Initial Competency Assessment, and exam fees.
  • Partnerships and scholarships with leading universities for discounted undergraduate and graduate tuition rates.
  • Coordination with SoFi Financial to reduce interest rates and monthly payments on existing loans.
  • Annual contributions to support student loan repayment through our loan repayment program.

Step 2: Trainee

Eligibility for internal candidates:

  • Must be a credentialed RBT with dedicated competence and performance demonstrated through an evaluation, competency, and employee records review.
  • Enrolled in a Verified Course Sequence.
  • Commitment to a supervision agreement between the trainee and supervisor.
  • Employed at ABC for a minimum of 30 days.
  • Formal recommendation from ABC’s clinical supervisor.

  • No-cost fieldwork supervision hours, with no deduction from wages.

Step 3: Rising Star

Eligibility for external candidates:

  • Current RBT credential.
  • Demonstrate completion of 900 unrestricted hours and 800 restricted fieldwork hours.
  • Graduate coursework is completed or will be completed within six months of starting at ABC.
  • Expected timeline to sit for the BACB exam within six months of starting at ABC.
  • Formal recommendation from a Regional Clinical Director through an external interview process.

Benefits:

  • Increased compensation, with an additional raise upon completing 1080 unrestricted hours.
  • Fully paid off schedule time - 80% of the hours applied towards unrestricted skills training hours and 20% of the hours applied towards the BDS modules.
  • Complementary skill training curriculum and exam prep materials through Behavior Development Solutions (BDS).
  • Incentive pay for successful completion of ABC’s skills training curriculum ($500).
  • Incentive pay for successful completion of BDS Modules ($500).

Step 4: Rising Star+

Eligibility for external candidates:
  • Current RBT credential.
  • Master’s program completed.
  • All fieldwork hours completed.
  • BCBA certification exam scheduled within 30 days of starting at ABC.
  • Formal recommendation from a Regional Clinical Director through an external interview process.

Benefits:

  • Pay bump to $30.00/hr.
  • Complementary exam prep materials through Behavior Development Solutions (BDS).
  • Group study sessions.
  • Incentive pay for successful completion of BDS modules ($500).
  • Qualify for three paid weeks off the schedule to prepare for the BCBA exam.
  • $5,000 bonus for passing the BCBA exam on the first attempt after starting ABC employment.
  • $2,500 bonus for passing the BCBA exam on the second attempt after starting ABC employment.Reimbursed exam fees for the passed exam.
