ABC Foundations: The ABC Student Loan Program - How Does it Work?

At Action Behavior Centers, we value our ABC team. Each of our teammates does so much for us, our parents, and our kiddos here at ABC. We wanted to show our appreciation for all that they do beyond just telling them. So we got to thinking…how could we return the favor? Many of our teammates are college graduates and have worked hard to get where they are today. Though many of them have packed up their cap and gown, the student loan debt before them remains.

We know that many of our ABC teammates are drowning in student loan debt and feel as though there is no end in sight. We thought if we could help shoulder the burden of their student loan payments, perhaps they could save their money for the things that they actually want to save it for. So that’s exactly what we did.

ABC + Leading Technology Finance Company

ABC has partnered with a leading technology finance company to create the ABC student loan program a part of our new initiative, ABC Foundations. This partnership will also include banks, financial technology firms, and a number of universities. This loan program is going to be a game-changer for our ABC teammates who are struggling with their student debt. So, how does it work? It’s easy! These are the steps:

Step One

All active ABC teammates can refinance their loans with our partner. By refinancing their existing loans, ABC teammates can lower their rate to around 4% (on average). This will allow them to save money over the life of the loan, that before would have gone to interest payments. Refinancing their loan will also lower the amount of their monthly payments resulting in even more money saved.

Step Two

Once a teammate has completed 6 months of active service with ABC and is still actively employed, ABC will contribute hundreds each year towards their student loan. For instance, if a teammate stays with ABC for 5 years after becoming eligible, ABC would contribute a total of $3,000 towards the teammate’s student loan.

Here’s an example:

What does this mean for our ABC teammates?

By teammates refinancing their existing student loans through our partner and with the contribution from ABC – our teammates will be able to pay off their loans faster. This will save them even more money. This means, our ABC teammates will be able to use that money for the things that they really want.

We hope that these savings will help better the lives of our teammates and we are looking forward to uncovering many new ways in which we can show our team our gratitude.
